Emanuela has always manufactured products using exclusively natural materials, and uses assembly techniques that are free of glues, resins, and solvents. Most of the components used in the production of the footwear consist of natural raw materials, such as sheared wool, cotton, cork, felt, and rubber.
The soles of all Emanuela shoes are made in-house from natural rubber extracted at environmentally sustainable plantations, without using any of synthetic chemicals or petroleum derivatives. We have also opted to produce the rubber compounds for vulcanisation within our own production cycle, so we can recycle the rubber processing scraps to create new soles.
The natural rubber sole is applied to the upper through a hot vulcanisation process, without using any glues, resins or solvents that are harmful to humans or the environment.
In order to protect the environment, Emanuela only uses energy obtained from certified renewable sources to power its factories and production units.
